YOUNG-JUN KIM

Youngjun Kim is a video director and media artist based in Korea. He presented the moving image as a completed work and continued the reasoning for ceaseless movement. The artist's gaze, which views drawing and animation on the same level, leads to excellent sensibility that encompasses pictorial expression and cinematic directing. Contrary to the artist's warm drawing style, the artist's work embodies a story about the relational tension between a space and objects in that space. After graduating from the Department of Design at Hongik University, Youngjoon Kim participated in group exhibitions at D Project Space at Daelim Museum, KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon, and PIBI Gallery, and had a solo exhibition at Gallery Meme. He collaborated with various brands such as Big Hit Entertainment, Naver, Shuemura, Amorepacific, Hyundai Department Store, and the National Museum of Korea, and produced a music video for <Fairy Tale> sung by musicians Kim Dong-ryul and IU.
