수지 큐 (b1985, Republic of Korea)

Suzy Q’s artistic universe revolves around the dual themes of memory and forgetting—concepts she interprets not as opposites but as cyclical states of being. Guided by the belief that “no energy or information truly disappears,” her works imagine a world called LIMBO, a realm where forgotten memories continue to exist and transform. Within this liminal space, rubber ducks and gentle, expressionless figures become allegories of existence and transience. Her characters, devoid of overt emotion, allow the audience to project their own feelings onto the canvas, transforming each scene into a mirror of personal recollection. Drawing from the aesthetics of animation and comic art, Suzy Q creates compositions full of rhythm and light, while infusing them with philosophical depth. Her bright, vivid colors contrast with the quiet melancholy that underlies her themes, evoking both nostalgia and rebirth. In her visual narratives, forgetting is not an end but a renewal—a chance for memory to take a new shape. The result is an art form that is at once playful and contemplative, bridging pop sensibility and metaphysical inquiry. Her works invite collectors to engage not only with their visual charm but also with the emotional and existential questions that linger beyond it. Solo Exhibitions
