L GALLERY is hosting a solo exhibition of the artist Diren Lee, titled <Shadow>. This exhibition marks Diren Lee's first-ever drawing exhibition, showcasing a departure from their previous artistic style and introducing a new medium to present her own world.
Over time, on numerous canvases, the artist has been narrating stories about individuals who embody polarities, various emotions, and the coexistence of the conscious and unconscious realms.
In this new series of drawing works, the characters are defined as shadows that have been harbored within the artist, conveying stories they wish to reveal but simultaneously keep hidden from the audience. It is akin to presenting a moment of self-monologue expressed through essays.
The fragments of thoughts, conveyed through the artist's gentle pencil strokes, encompass the vast realm of DirenLee's unconscious and conscious worlds. These drawings might be a reflection of the artist's introspective confessions as they walked with a brush in hand. The exhibition aims to become a different facet of solace, offering comfort beyond the times spent with art, providing solace on another level.
