Bringing together original works from an exciting selection of Asian artists, Days of Domesticity revolves around a term that is subject to an endless range of possibilities. The notion of domesticity may be associated with one's notion of home, a sense of interiority, or perhaps a place of intimacy. Opening a generative path towards connection and renewal, this theme gently traces and questions emotional boundaries, thus unveiling attentive wonderment and a diversity of perspectives.Featured artists include Fajar Amali (Indonesia), Sono Moon (South Korean), Wakaru (Japanese), and Lingmuki (Hong Kong/Nanjing). Embedding intricate relationships , sharing personal experiences, and shedding light on the passage of time, their artwork explores perceptions of domesticity - a safe haven of solace, familiarity, and security. At times taking the form of a bedroom, domesticity serves as a sanctuary, a nexus of comfort and retreat.
