A red chair, a rose, a solitary figure. Images return throughout Jamsan’s work, shifting in meaning each time they reappear. Characters move between paintings and stories, while familiar objects take on new roles within his imagined world.

L GALLERY, in collaboration with Maison JE Bangkok, presents *Jamsan's Director's Cut*, bringing together archival works associated with *It's Okay to Not Be Okay* and *Encounter*, twenty-five new artworks, and newly developed character-based objects.

The term “Director’s Cut” suggests a return to existing material—scenes are restored, rearranged, or allowed to unfold differently. Here, it becomes a way of revisiting Jamsan’s own visual language. Images once situated within television narratives are placed alongside independent works, allowing recurring motifs and emotions to detach from their original contexts and form new relationships.

Jamsan often translates solitude, affection, longing, vulnerability, and comfort into dreamlike landscapes and symbolic figures. Reality is not abandoned but slightly displaced, allowing emotions that resist direct description to take another form. A chair becomes a companion, a rose behaves like a memory, and a solitary figure remains connected to a world extending beyond the frame.

Rose, the Red Chair, and the Rose from the Star recur without forming a fixed storyline. Each return functions like a cut between scenes: familiar elements reappear altered by a different setting, distance, or emotional temperature.

This movement extends beyond the canvas through *Red Chair Girl*, a limited-edition art toy produced in an edition of 100. By giving physical form to a recurring motif, the work allows Jamsan’s image-world to move into the viewer’s space.

*Jamsan's Director's Cut* is therefore less a retrospective than an act of re-editing. Archives and new works occupy the same space, while distinctions between commissioned narratives and independent practice begin to loosen. Jamsan returns to familiar images not to restore an original version, but to see what another sequence might reveal.
